Samsung showcased their latest SUHD TV's in CES 2015.It grabbed attention of many tech enthusiasts.

WHAT DOES THE "S" STAND FOR?

UHD stands for Ultra High Definition.Then what does the "S" stand for? Super UHD? Samsung UHD?
You probably guessed that wrong.The S is reserved by Samsung for those devices which are game changers.

WHAT MAKES SUHD TV SO SPECIAL?

All SUHD TVs are based on LCD technology.Most of them have curved displays.All support 4K resolution.

One thing that made people talk is, the quantum dot technology or as Samsung likes to call it "Nano Particle Technology".LG and Sony have also used this technology in their UHD TVs.Sony has branded it under the name "Triluminous" and LG has named it "Prime UHD".

SUHD TVs have a new color system.This new system provides a wide range of colors.Wider the range more colors can be used to drawn the image on the screen.More colors will make the image look rich and colorful.

The backlit LED panel can produce brighter white color and deeper black color.This enhances the contrast of the picture.

Apart from these image enhancements, SUHD TVs are powered by Samsung's Tizen OS.
