The Ultimate Graphic Card Battle

Lately i have been looking for a good graphic card for my desktop and i came across some facts that i think are worth sharing!

So lets get started!

AMD is a graphic card manufacture and has recently acquired ATI. After the takeover AMD has produced some quality stuff and has proved to be the biggest competitor in the graphic card industry.

Whereas nvidia has been in this business since the 1990's and have revolutionized the graphic industry.They acquired 3DFX back in 2000 and that boosted their products quality a hundred times (not literally!)!


FOR GAMING

If you are looking for a graphic card for gaming purposes then both of them perform almost the same.But i must say nvidia has an upper hand because of its PHYSX technology.PHYSX does makes a difference in the effects and scenes rendered by the GPU.

Heres the difference between PHYSX and No PHYSX.

AMD also has come up with the same technology called the TressFX which the company claims to be 

"The world's first real-time hair physics system"

To break it down,it renders high quality graphics in less amount of time.If you are interested in experiencing the difference then here is the video.

FOR VIDEO EDITING

Basically i was looking for a graphic card for video editing.I do edit videos and stuff like that.

So heres what i found after some research.

Some nvidia chips are powered by the CUDA technology which enables high graphics rendering and enables the user to take full advantage of the GPU.

So if you are a video editor then you should consider Nvidia over AMD.
