Its everywhere!
Android One is on the verge of being a huge hit!
Yesterday 3 budget smartphone were released in India with android one.And its all over the media!
That's a very clever strategy by Google.After targeting people in developed countries now they have moved to developing countries.Google has partnered with local manufacturers for the Android ONE program.
So the local manufacturers produce the hardware and Google provides the software with guaranteed software updates for 2 years.So now you dont need to have nexus or a Moto phone to receive updates.
Google is clearly trying to expand their market.Also i think the timing is quite apt.
Apple's new iphone caused a lot of disappointment and Google is taking advantage of it.And thats fair!
By partnering up with local manufacturers Google has been successful in creating a win win situation.
The manufacturer's sales have boomed as well as Google has been able to expand their market and reach out to more people.
Lets see how it goes in the future.Also the question is will it backfire on Google..??Will it affect the nexuses.
Well we need to wait and watch.!
