WhatsApp: What's new?

WhatsApp rolled out an update today and here's a list of all the new features.


CUSTOM NOTIFICATIONS

Brand new feature in WhatsApp version 2.12.250.


HOW TO TURN ON CUSTOM NOTIFICATION?

To turn on custom notification you need to start WhatsApp, tap on the contact for which you want to set the custom notification and then go into contact details.Then tap on Custom Notification and then set as per your need.

You can set the notification tone, vibration length, popup notification and theme as well.


MUTE

With new WhatsApp, you can silent personal chats as well.So no more annoying notifications from unwanted friends!

HOW TO MUTE A PERSONAL CHAT?

To mute a personal chat you need to start WhatsApp, tap on the contact you want to mute and then go into contact details.Then use the slider to mute the contact.


LOWER DATA CONSUMPTION

The new version of WhatsApp comes with an internet data saver option.Now WhatsApp Calls can be done with reduced data consumption.

HOW TO ACTIVATE THIS OPTION?

To activate this, you need to go to Settings and under settings you need to tap on Chats and Calls and then scroll down.Then check the low data consumption option.


NEW EMOJIS

The new update brings in some vulgar/rude/impolite emojis.Also., you get emojis for different skin-tones.


If you haven't updated WhatsApp yet then be sure to update it.The developers have added some really cool features.
